7th Sir Galahad

Welcome to Team Galahad

We are excited to have you as part of our team.  Sir Galahad was a Knight of the Round Table and is known as being “the perfect knight” due to his purity and gallantry.  As a team we want to focus on the concept of family within Sir Galahad. We recognize and value each and every student’s individuality.  We are looking forward to watching each student grow both academically and emotionally.

Your core teachers are:

Science--Philip Shew

This is my 7th year teaching science here at CRMS, and my 19th year overall.  Prior to being in the classroom, I was a snowboard instructor at Beaver Creek and Steamboat.  I am married to a Spanish teacher and have two boys in 3rd and 6th grade. I am one of the cross country coaches in the Fall and track coaches in the Spring.

Social Studies--Brent Neuenschwander

I am in my 23rd year of teaching-all of them right here at CRMS.  I am also an assistant football coach at Castle View High School. I coach varsity linebackers.  My wife and I have three boys ages 18, 16, and 13. brent.neuenschwander@dcsdk12.org

Language Arts--Lana Wheatley,

This is my 30th year of teaching, and they have all been at CRMS! I met my husband here-he is a retired teacher.  We have two kids: one is a teacher and one is in college.

I enjoy helping students improve their reading and writing skills, and I enjoy helping them learn to appreciate and enjoy new books. ljwheatley@dcsdk12.org

Math--Heidi Clarke

This is my 16th year in education! I have taught upper elementary, coached teachers in math instruction, and have been a substitute for administration. I love working with students to build their math confidence and help them discover their love for math! I have three kids (15, 12, 9) that keep me very busy! I love sports and enjoy running on my free time. hclarke@dcsdk12.org

Homework/Classwork policy:  Missing Work Policy: Students have 7 days after the due date of an assignment to turn work in or the end of the unit, whichever comes first. The assignment will be marked Missing in Infinite Campus once the due date has passed, and if the 7 days pass with no work being turned in, the grade will be a 0.

Communication:  We all use Google Classroom to varying degrees, and update it regularly.  We recommend that students use the Classwork tab, and they can check what work is due with the View Your Work tab. We also send out a weekly bulletin through Infinite Campus. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to partnering with you and working toward your student's success!
