7th Sir Galahad

Welcome to Team Galahad

We are excited to have you as part of our team.  Sir Galahad was a Knight of the Round Table and is known as being “the perfect knight” due to his purity and gallantry.  As a team we want to focus on the concept of family within Sir Galahad. We recognize and value each and every student’s individuality.  We are looking forward to watching each student grow both academically and emotionally.

Your core teachers are:

Science--Philip Shew

This is my 6th year teaching science here at CRMS, and my 18th year overall.  Prior to being in the classroom, I was a snowboard instructor at Beaver Creek and Steamboat.  I am married to a Spanish teacher and have two boys in 2nd and 5th grade. I am one of the cross country coaches in the Fall and track coaches in the Spring.

Social Studies--Brent Neuenschwander

I am in my 22nd year of teaching-all of them right here at CRMS.  I am also an assistant football coach at Castle View High School. I coach varsity linebackers.  My wife and I have three boys ages 17, 15, and 12. brent.neuenschwander@dcsdk12.org

Language Arts--Lana Wheatley,

This is my 29th year of teaching, and they have all been at CRMS! I met my husband here-he is a retired teacher.  We have two kids: one is a teacher and one is in college.

I enjoy helping students improve their reading and writing skills, and I enjoy helping them learn to appreciate and enjoy new books. ljwheatley@dcsdk12.org

Math--Amber Lichfield

I love teaching math and have been teaching it for 13 years. I graduated with a degree in education and two minors, math & art. This is my second year teaching at CRMS and I enjoy it very much. Due to my husband’s job I have taught in Utah, Las Vegas NV.   Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. I have been married for 20 years and have three children ages 8, 12, and 16. In my former years before children I coached, Volleyball, Cheer, Swim, and Track. My goal for the year is to build a good foundation of number sense for each 7th grader and to help them discover a learning style that works best for them when studying.  alichfield@dcsdk12.org

Homework/Classwork policy:  Missing Work Policy: Students have 7 days after the due date of an assignment to turn work in or the end of the unit, whichever comes first. The assignment will be marked Missing in Infinite Campus once the due date has passed, and if the 7 days pass with no work being turned in, the grade will be a 0.

Communication:  We all use Google Classroom to varying degrees, and update it regularly.  We also send out a weekly bulletin through Infinite Campus. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to partnering with you and working toward your student's success!
