Performing Arts

• 7th and 8th mixed ability.
• Semester long class.
• No prior knowledge/experience is necessary. 
• Can be taken in 7th and 8th grade.
• In class performances only. 
• Drama class is a judge-free zone and inclusive environment. Students will become more prepared for presentations/performances after taking Drama class.
• Students matriculate into Theatre 1 & 2, Tech Theatre 1, and Broadway Dance 1.
• Optional After School Activities: Fall and Spring Play. Drama Club.

Concert Band

• Must have at least one year experience on a concert band instrument
• Year long class
• Required evening performances.
• Students matriculate into Symphonic Band at Castle View.

Concert Choir

• 7th and 8th grade mixed ability
• No prior knowledge required.
• Year long class
• Required evening performances.
• Students matriculate into Saber Singers and Saber 8 at Castle View.

Beginning Guitar

• Beginning class
• No experience required
• 7th and 8th grade mixed ability
• Semester only class
• May take only once in the two years.
• In class performances 
• Students matriculate into Guitar I at Castle View.

World Music Drumming

• Beginning class
• No experience required
• 7th and 8th grade mixed ability
• Semester only class
• May take only once in the two years. 
• Music from cultures with drumming heritage.
• Required evening performances.
• Students matriculate into Percussion Tech at Castle View.
