Welcome to Castle Rock Middle School

We are excited to have you join us at CRMS.  This registration page will have information regarding registering your student for our school regardless of where you will be joining us from.  Please see below and the different sub tabs under Enrollment or contact any of our staff to help you navigate this process or answer any questions about our school. 

All admissions paperwork is handled through Douglas County School District Central Admissions.

If you are new to the Douglas County School District or a returning family, please click on the link for Online Registration instructions DCSD Online Registration Link. You will need the following documentation to upload to your application:

  1. Birth Certificate of Student
  2. Current Immunization Record for Student
  3. Proof of Residency
  4. Warranty Deed, Deed of Trust, Property Tax Notice, Lease Agreement, County Assessor Page or Notarized Proof of Residency letter from the person you are living with (if your name doesn't appear on the proof of residency) along with a copy of their proof of residency.
  5. Your government issued ID (parent/guardian)

New and returning DCSD students only: (do not complete for Express Check In or Class Registration)

Registration will begin January 16th, 2026 for incoming 7th grade students.

Google Forms for incoming 7th grade students need to be completed by Thursday, January 22nd in order to have equal opportunity in your course selections.

Registration will begin on January 22nd, 2026 for future 8th grade students.

If you live outside the Castle Rock Middle School boundary: See the information below for open enrollment

Admissions at Castle Rock Middle School for Current DCSD Students

  1. Your student will automatically be enrolled at CRMS for 7th grade if:

You live in the Castle Rock Middle School boundary - no matter what neighborhood elementary school you attend (feeder or not; except for Charters) you will automatically be enrolled in 7th grade at the Middle School assigned to your address

  1. Your student can automatically enroll at CRMS for 7th or 8th grade if:

a) You live in the CRMS boundary but attend a Charter School or another DCSD Middle School

AND 

You turn in an Intent to Return form to CRMS by January 5th, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year

 

 OR 

b) If you currently homeschool or attend a non DCSD school you can complete an OLR application at anytime to enroll at your neighborhood school

 OR 

c) If you move into the CRMS boundary and notify your current school with an Intent to Remain and select remaining only until the end of the school year (the move must be recent based on date of sale or start of lease)

If you live in the CRMS boundary:

  • Attend a Charter School or another DCSD Middle School? Submit an Intent to Return form to CRMS by January 10, 2025.

  • Homeschool or attend a non-DCSD school? Complete an OLR application anytime to enroll at CRMS.

If you move into the CRMS boundary:

  • Notify your current school with an Intent to Remain, selecting to stay only until the end of the school year. The move must be recent (based on sale date or lease start).

 

  1. You will need to Open Enroll to CRMS if:

a) You do not live in the CRMS boundary 

Even if your student attends a feeder elementary or if you have other students in the CVHS feeder. 

If you do not live in our boundary and do not currently attend CRMS you will need to Open Enroll. 

OR
b) You live in the CRMS boundary BUT currently attend a Charter School or another Middle School in DCSD AND do not submit an Intent to Return to CRMS by January 10th, 2025

 

Additional Admissions Information

As stated above: If you live within the Castle Rock Middle School boundary and your student is currently attending a charter or other DCSD school and you would like to come to CRMS for 7th or 8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year, please complete the Intent to Return Form. (This means you intend to return to your neighborhood school). This form must be completed and turned in to CRMS by January 10th, 2025.  If you have not returned this form in by this date, you must Open Enroll to your neighborhood school. 

Intent to Return Form - due by January 9th, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year

The Intent to Return deadline is still available. Once it has passed for the 2026-20267school year, please submit an application for Open Enrollment between January 22nd and August 1st to have an opportunity for enrollment.

Intent to Remain: If you have moved out of the CRMS boundary, but still within the Douglas County School District and would like your students to stay in the CVHS feeder (Intent to Remain does not work going from an elementary school to the secondary/middle school level. Families will need to Open Enroll)

 

Record Requests

If you are needing records for a current or former Castle Rock Middle School student, please send a signed records request form to acastro@dcsdk12.org. Special Education requests will be sent to the district for completion.
